The ARE Scholarship Program
NCNOMA's goal is to create local access for practitioners to get licensed where it does not otherwise exist. Since 2023, our ARE Scholarship has provided financial support to cover the cost associated with the Architect Registration Examination (ARE). BY Providing Financial aid and structured peer support, we have helped talented, underrepresented designers confidently navigate the path to licensure. WE have awarded over $20,000 in scholarships and have successfully several newly licensed designers on their journeys.

How the Program Works
We understand that passing the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) requires more than just funding. Our holistic approach works to ensure every scholar has a path to succeed. Our program includes:
Financial Relief: We defray out-of-pocket costs up to $2,500 for exam seats and study materials to prepare for testing.
Peer Accountability: Monthly check-ins keep candidates motivated and on schedule.
Mentorship: Scholars connect directly with peers and professionals who understand the journey.
Celebration: Recipients of the award will be recognized at our annual NCNOMA Gala.
