Advocacy Coalition

Proactive civic leadership and community engagement are fundamental to our mission. As architectural and environmental challenges evolve across North Carolina, the necessity for architects and designers to maintain an active role in public policy, community development, and disaster relief has never been more critical.

To address these needs directly, NCNOMA is gaining-ground in the advocacy realm through our Advocacy Coalition initiative. The Advocacy Coalition was established to support:

  • Community Engagement: Staying informed on emerging policy and issues rising within our local communities.

  • Professional Advocacy: Championing the vital roles of minority architects and designers in policy discussions and regulatory planning.

  • Civic Action: Identifying vulnerable areas of concern in our communities-at-large and coordinating professional design support and disaster relief initiatives.

  •

Architecture is inherently tied to public service and social equity. Through this coalition, we aim to ensure that our expertise shapes the decisions impacting the communities we serve.
