OVERVIEW

BENEFITS 

Elevate the activities of minority Designers in the profession, social and political aspects of our communities by:

  1. Supporting our members to advance their professional careers and successfully navigating transitions within their personal practice of architecture and/or design.

  2. Providing experienced, confidential counsel for navigating your professional setting(s), community involvement and responsible expansion of your professional capacity.

  3. Discover, empower and promote underrepresented mentees within diverse spheres of influence through professional development and design excellence.

  4. Equipping mentees with tools for multigenerational advancement both laterally and vertically during your career.

IMPORTANT DATES​

  • Application Opens: January 12, 2026

  • Application Closes: January 31, 2026

  • Notifications of Assignments on/by February 12-13, 2026

SESSION SCHEDULE

  • Session 1 - February 26 - "Step Into Your Stride"

  • Session 2 - March 19 - "Step Into Your Voice"

  • Session 3 - April 23 - "Step Into Your Leadership"

  • Session 4 - May 28 - "Step Into the Practice"

  • July 14-18 (RDC) and July 21-25 (CLT) - Volunteer in local NC NOMA Project Pipeline Camp 

  • Session 5 - August 27 - "Step Into Distinction" - Panel Discussion
